WILLIAM ROCK LLC · THE HEADQUARTERS
Welcome to The Boathouse.
Part workshop. Part research laboratory. Part headquarters for wonderfully curious minds.
Follow the odd clue. Open the curious door. Bring your questions—and a healthy respect for the Safe Stop button.
FICTIONAL WORLD · REAL PRINCIPLES · HUMAN AT THE HELM
“The first answer looked a little too tidy.”
— Rabbit, before coffee #3PULL UP A CHAIR
There's always room for one more question.
Somewhere in The Boathouse, a notebook is open, a strange signal is blinking, and Caffeinated Rabbit has found another door nobody remembers installing.
Behind the storybook nonsense is the real spirit of William Rock LLC: investigating complicated problems, following the evidence, testing useful ideas, and sharing what we learn.
There's no autonomous consulting crew running loose behind the scenes. The characters are fictional ways to explain different perspectives. William remains the real person responsible for the work.
THE FLOOR PLAN · SIX OPEN DOORS
Where shall we wander?
Every room leads somewhere real on this site. The hallways are imaginative; the destinations are not.

ON DECK ✦

MEET THE FICTIONAL SHIP'S COMPANY
It's a strange crew. You'll fit right in.
Rabbit finds the mystery. Johnny Five checks the evidence. Radar watches for changes. Mad Hatter suggests a completely different angle. Harbormaster tracks the route, and Black Knight keeps a paw near Safe Stop.
They aren't employees or autonomous decision-makers. They're characters representing the different questions useful work needs.
THE WORKBENCH · HOW WE THINK
Wonder is welcome. Evidence comes along.
Even an imaginary headquarters needs a useful method. These five steps are the real part of the adventure.
- 01Observe
Notice the signal without deciding too early what it means.
- 02Question
Ask what we know, what we're assuming, and what might be missing.
- 03Test
Look for evidence that could confirm—or change—the explanation.
- 04Build
Choose a useful, right-sized improvement and check the risks.
- 05Share
Document what happened so someone else can pick up the trail.
POSTED ON THE WORKSHOP WALL
House rules for the wonderfully curious.
We don't paint the roses red to make the evidence look prettier. A perfect-looking report still needs a source.
Unknown ≠ Zero. Missing information isn't evidence of nothing.
Safe Stop beats wrong success. Slow down when the risk isn't understood.
Humans authorize. The fictional crew asks questions; the real human is accountable.
THE BOATHOUSE · LOWER LEVEL / ALLEGEDLY
There is no basement.
Please stop asking.
Six classified-ish cases. Impossible departments. A coffee invoice dated 2041. Black Knight insists the door is locked. Rabbit has already gone downstairs.
Fictional adventures. Real investigative lessons. No client data.
